{WHAT WE DO}

The volunteers making up the Stitchers generally sew, knit and crochet at their homes at their own pace with whatever free time they may have.

Additionally, there are a small number of us who also sew at a local sewing room in Pacifica twice a week.  The space is generously donated by one of the Stitchers.  All of the fabric and yarn used are also donated.  Additionally, we have a few Stitchers who don’t sew, but nonetheless provide very valuable services of cutting fabric, sorting, delivery and pick-up of donated and sewn items.

We have a general meeting of the Stitchers and pick-up from the Foundation once a month.  At this meeting we exchange ideas, deliver the clothing and items we made the previous month, and pick-up sewing supplies, fabric and yarn to use for the following month.  The clothing and items we make are practical, durable and attractive.  We enjoy adding special touches to make them fun and attractive for the children to enjoy.  None of our clothes or items are sold at the Foundation; they are given to the Foundation, who distributes them freely to ones who need them, with LOVE!
